Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the 5k run take?

Finishing times vary of course, but our fastest runners will complete the run in about 25 minutes. Most runners will fall between 30-45 minutes We will be sweeping the course at one hour from the starting time to ensure all runners have returned to the starting area.

Are there aid stations available?

Water will be available at the start. Two Aid stations will be available on the course. Each participant should plan to take no more than two servings of water at each Aid Station. Runners are also encouraged to bring water bottles along on the course. Additional water and snacks will be available at the finish line.

Where should I park?

Limited parking will be available on Amon Park Road N. Please plan accordingly as this parking lot fills up fast and will be first come, first serve. There is also parking at the Richland Community Center and behind the Allied Arts building on Lee. *Please note that you may NOT park in the Gaslight parking lot, nor the surrounding hotels parking lot as we do not have permission to do so. Again, parking is first come first serve. There may be walking involved so please plan your morning accordingly.

Can I bring my dog or pet?

For safety, all furry friends are not allowed on the course or at the event, so please leave all pets at home on 5K day! All pets will be asked to return to the pet owner's vehicle if spotted at the event.

Volunteer Registration

This event would not be possible without the help of amazing volunteers who believe in our mission and show up to support our girls. Over 100 volunteers are needed to put on our best 5K yet! Whatever your special skills and talents, we have a role for everyone.

Volunteer Today

We need a minimum of two people to man or (wo)man the registration tent the morning of our 5k. Volunteers will meet prior to the event with Ashley to go over what’s to be expected, what we need you to know, and details about the registration. These volunteers will need to be at the location of the event no later than 8:00am. The shift will last about 2-3 hours. Required: Must be 18+.

These volunteer jobs range from loading the truck on the Friday prior to the event, equipment set-up, water stations, course marshal, course sweeper, turn-around attendant, finish line refreshments, merchandise tent sales people, tear-down/clean-up, and unloading truck at the office. There are varying times for shifts and they range from 2 hours to 4 hours, depending on your task selected. These jobs are best suited for ages 14+ (Dependent on task).

Our celebratory event runs on positive energy, enthusiasm, and cheerleaders! If you love to greet, cheer, and direct traffic, then a hospitality volunteer might be best suited for you. These volunteers will greet buses, direct families, help out at water stations, and cheer on the girls as they finish the 5k. Depending on what job you sign up for, your shift can range from 2 hours to 3 hours. This job if for individuals of all ages.
